Shandar Beluch Rug
One of kind 1970's vintage tribal beluch rug from Pakistan. This piece was brought from Pakistan to Turkey with a nomadic tribal family. The Dom design, meaning "entrance to paradise" was woven with 100% wool, vibrantly dyed with 100% vegetable dyes and finished with a flat weave. The rug features a center design representing entering the afterlife and images of the tree of life in each corner.
"Shandar" is a common Pakistani name meaning "fabulous" in Urdu.
